  Atom Thususka ’25

  Head of House for Seaton’s, Atom is captain of the ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø varsity hockey team and a member of the varsity rugby team where he was named rookie of the year in 22-23 and MVP in 23-24. On the academic side, he enjoys studying biology and English. In his free time, Atom enjoys solving puzzles and spending time with his friends. Atom’s goals for the 2023–24 school year include maintaining his high academic standard in pursuit of playing junior hockey in British Columbia in hopes of gaining a Division 1 scholarship.

  Chisom Ochuba ’25

  Chisom is the Head Steward and a Wedd’s House Mentor. He serves as President of the Black Excellence Society and plays on the ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø varsity volleyball and rugby teams. With a dedication to community service, Chisom is the creator and director of an innovation program in Horizons and operates an international nonprofit that democratizes access to service opportunities for youth. During his time at the college, he has received numerous awards, including a Gold Tie, Athlete of the Year awards for both Year 9 and Year 10, the Class of '57 Trophy, and Principal’s List for Year 10. For his final year at the College, Chisom hopes to continue leading his sports teams and contribute to making a positive difference in his community.

  Ethan Moynan ’25

  A member of Mowbray’s House, Ethan plays on the ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø varsity football, varsity swimming, and varsity rugby teams. During his time at the College, he earned an Academic Tie for both Year 8 and 9, made the Principal’s List and earned General Proficiency. A well-rounded student, Ethan also started and chaired his own club dedicated to teaching computer graphics and has been a proud member of the ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø School Band in the Wind Ensemble. Ethan loves learning new things and is fascinated by AI technology. For his penultimate school year at ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø, Ethan seeks to maintain the high standards he has set for himself both academically and athletically.

  Juno Goralski ’25

  A Wedd’s House Prefect, Juno plays on the ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø varsity basketball team, varsity rugby team and the varsity volleyball team. His passions outside of sports include playing the guitar, filmmaking and spending time in the great outdoors. In his final year at the College, Juno continues to commit to academic excellence and hopes to continue being a leader on his sports teams.

  Liam McKay ’25

  A member of Mowbray’s House, Liam is Captain of both the ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø varsity squash and varsity cross country teams. He is also a Co-Head of the ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Pickleball club, a member of the ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Truth and Reconciliation club, and a recipient of the Silver Service Tie award for 100 volunteer hours. Liam continues his involvement in athletics at the College by serving as a member of the ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Athletic Council. Outside of the College, Liam serves as a volunteer coach for juniors in both tennis and squash. During the winter he also coaches a junior downhill ski race team. Liam plays squash at an international level and hopes to win the Canadian Nationals this year. His other goals for this school year include earning General Proficiency and contributing to another CISAA-winning squash team.

  Louis-Philippe Lalande ’25

  A Wedd’s Prefect, Louis-Philippe is a member of both the varsity hockey team and the varsity ultimate frisbee team. LP enjoys studying mathematics and sports science, and outside of the College, he enjoys working out, playing golf, and spending time with friends and family. For his final year, he is working to maintain high academic standing and wishes to play hockey at a D1 or D3 school after he graduates.

  Lucas Laschinger ’25

  A Mowbray’s Prefect, Lucas plays on the ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø varsity rugby and varsity football teams. On top of being the Head of ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø’s Guitar Club, he has received awards including the General Proficiency award and the Gold Service Tie award. Lucas enjoys playing the guitar and watching films — specifically Tarantino — in his free time and loves spending the summers as a camp counselor. For his final year, Lucas hopes to keep being successful in his classes and to continue to improve his skills.

  Oliver Taback ’25

  A Member of Orr’s house, Oliver is the captain of the varsity cross country team and track team. He is the founder and Co-Head of ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø’s Philosophy Club and participated as a leader within the Hispanic Heritage Club. Oliver was Under-Secretary General of Assemblies for ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø’s  Model UN conference and received the General Proficiency award in Year 10. Outside of school, Oliver continues to build on his running skills at a high-performance track club. In the coming year his goal is to win a medal in OFSAA for track and field.

  A Seaton’s Prefect, Yasha is a member of both the varsity football and varsity rugby teams at ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø. Yasha enjoys studying mathematics and is head of the Slavic Culture Club. In his free time Yasha enjoys reading literature in his native language, Russian.

  Daniel Devine ’26

  A member of Seaton house, Daniel plays on the football, hockey and rugby teams at ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø and is looking forward to participating in Theater Club this year to expand his interests. Outside of school, Daniel enjoys his part time job as a lifeguard where he gets to spend time coaching kids. In the coming year he’s working towards keeping his grades high and being an impactful player on the teams he’s a part of.

  Derek Gu ’26

  A member of Scadding’s house, Derek is a member of the varsity volleyball and varsity swimming teams. He is involved within many school clubs such as the Medical Society and DECA, where he competed in the International Career Development Conference. His love for music and for playing the piano and flute led him to be part of the CISMF Concert Band and ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø’s Senior Jazz Band. In the coming year, Derek wishes to make a better impact on the ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø community through leadership in both sports and academics and hopes to get an OFSAA medal in swimming for the third year in a row.

  Elliot Lascelles ’26

  A member of Howard’s House and former Year 9 Learning/Service Representative, Elliot plays on the ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Varsity Baseball and Track & Field teams and was previously on the Varsity Soccer team. He has been a recipient of the Athlete of the Year, General Proficiency, Principal’s List and Academic Tie awards. Elliot has also been a member of the Academic Council, Helping Hands club and the Duke of Edinburgh Award club (having completed his Bronze and Silver Awards). Outside of school, Elliot plays elite baseball in the Canadian Premier Baseball League for the Toronto Mets and is also a member of Canada’s Junior National Team. In his spare time, Elliot enjoys watching Formula 1 racing and playing video games. Elliot recently committed to Yale University to study and play Division 1 baseball as a student-athlete. Elliot looks forward to mentoring the incoming Y8 Howard’s students.

  Hudson Vandermeer ’26

  A member of McHugh’s house and the Learning and Services representative for the 2023-24 school year, Hudson plays on the ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø varsity football team, the varsity track and field team and OSFL tackle football. He is also involved with many clubs including being an associate editor for The Blue and White, a contributor to Quiddity, a member of Helping Hands Club, a member of the Christian Student Association and a Co-Head of the Investment/Financial Literacy Club. During his time at the College, Hudson has received numerous awards, including the General Proficiency and Principal's List in both Year 8 and Year 9, and an Academic Tie. In the coming year, Hudson hopes to take on larger leadership roles within the athletic teams he is a part of and within the school as a whole.

  Laurence Fiorini ’26

  A member of Bremner’s House, Laurence plays for the varsity soccer and basketball teams.  During his time at the College, he has been awarded Rookie of the Year for the varsity soccer team and Athlete of the Year in Year 9. He is also on the Principal's List and is a recipient of the Class of ’57 Trophy. Laurence spent the past year working as a summer camp counsellor at ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø and continues his involvement with the Jordana's Rainbows Foundation, leading the annual holiday gift card drive in her honour and raising more than $50,000 in the past year. His goals for his 2024–25 school year include becoming a captain of the varsity basketball and soccer teams and maintaining his academic standing.

  Patrick Cowling ’26

  A Martland’s Year 11 grade representative and mentor, Patrick is the founder of Long Term Care Service Club. He plays both varsity lacrosse and varsity football and is a member of both the Wellbeing Council and the Athletic Council. Outside of the College, Patrick plays club lacrosse and volunteers with the Special Olympics in a program that works to give people with mental disabilities sporting opportunities. Next year, Patrick wishes to obtain greater leadership opportunities within the College and win a CISAA championship.

  Charles Paterson ’27

  A member of Scadding’s House, Charles is the Learning and Services Year Representative for 2024-25. He plays on the varsity baseball and varsity cross country teams and received the General Proficiency award in Year 8 and Year 9. Charles is a member of both the Jazz band and the BlueNotes at ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø, and takes part in Model United Nations. Outside of the College, he plays competitive hockey in the GTHL and spends time volunteering at a variety of kids camps, exploring the outdoors, learning the guitar and practicing both piano and saxophone. In the coming year, Charles wishes to organize enriching and fun events for his classmates to participate in as well as maintaining academic excellence and — of course — having fun!

  Ryker Babcock ’27

  A member of Wedd’s house, Ryker plays on the ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø varsity lacrosse and hockey team and enjoys studying mathematics and science. Outside of school, his passion for lacrosse continues as he plays with Team Ontario Lacrosse, Jr Lacrosse and Evolve Lacrosse. Ryker also volunteers with the Whitby Minor Lacrosse Association. Ryker enjoys working out and aspires to be a member of the ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø thousand pound club. In the coming year, Ryker's goals are to maintain his current average and to make the U20 Dutch National Lacrosse team.
